Hi, I'm Belinda Harmon also known as the Silk Press Slayer. I'm a Mother of 2, licensed cosmetologist that loves to bargain shop, eat great food and support local businesses.
Growing up, I had no idea I would be a cosmetologist, let alone an entrepreneur. At 19 years old, I found myself as a single mother, working several jobs that didn't inspire me. I was so unsure of myself but I knew I was destined for greater. I decided to take control of my life. I enrolled in cosmetology school with the hope of finding a steady job to support me and my son. That was the best decision of my life. Not only did I find my life's career, I also found my passion for helping woman share the beauty they have on the inside with the world. Now 20+ years later, I'm a salon owner, platform artist and trainer who shows others how to showcase their gifts and personality through trendy hair styles, healthy hair care regimens, and hair styling techniques.

I am living proof that just because you start somewhere doesn't mean you will stay there. That is why my favorite scripture is Haggai 2:9 "The glory of this latter house shall be greater than of the former, saith the LORD of hosts: and in this place will I give peace, saith the LORD of hosts".
